1. My brother is now reading his bible! I prayed much about this and the other day, for the first time, when I was talking to him he started talking about the ending of the gospel of John! And my dad told me that he came out to the dinner table a few nights ago and talked about a verse he had read in Romans about homosexuals. So, he and my dad were able to have a good discussion about it. Oh, and when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas he said, “A bible.” Would you believe it! I just more than a little excited about this, if you can’t tell. J
2. My brother and I have become friends! This too, has taken a long while; years in fact. But we have finally begun a friendship that I pray will last our lifetime. I can’t wait to hang out with him in a few days.
3. I can sing with a glad heart! (Isaiah 64:14) Not too long ago, I was feeling down. There was no reason for it, but I didn’t feel glad. Of course, how I feel is not as important as my obedience in spite of it, but I am very thankful to be able to sing praises to God with a glad heart.
4. My family is much closer to one another. Over the past few months I have seen my brother and parents grow closer together and do more things together. Dare I say, they are enjoying each other’s company? I am so thankful that my family is growing together in Christ; becoming one with the Father and thus one with one another.
5. I can control my thoughts much better than ever before! A few months ago I felt as though I had little control over my thoughts, but now I am much much better. For example, it doesn’t ever cross my mind to daydream about marrying someone. Which used to be a very big problem. It is so freeing!
6. I can see small, very small, changes in my extended family. I have seen God moving them towards himself. Though it is taking awhile, I am ever grateful to even be able to see these changes for myself! Any movement is good and a reason to give the Lord praise!
